Aircraft Care and MaintenanceAt the completion of the day's flying please ensure that the aircraft are washed,
hangared, batteries removed and placed on charge, pitot and canopy covers fitted,
parachutes returned and maintenance release details completed. A
re-chargeable vacuum cleaner
is available in the hanger. Use it to keep cockpit interiors clean. If leaving aircraft
unattended please close and lock the canopy and remove the tail dolly. If you find or
notice any problems with any aircraft please inform the Airworthiness Officer,
Graham Hennessy.

Official Observer application
forms are available as a Word document from the GFA. After submitting your application
form you will receive a copy of the FAI Sporting Code and an examination form. The exam is
in an open book format and an Official Observer rating is issued if all questions are
answered correctly. The FAI Sporting
Code is available online.
ParachutesThe wearing of parachutes in all club aircraft (including twin seaters and tugs) is highly
recommended by the DDSC Committee and Instructor Panel. Parachutes are located in
cupboards in the office. Please ensure that you return your parachute at the completion of
the day's flying. Enquiries about parachutes (problems, repacking etc) should be directed
to a member of the committee.

The Toowoomba CTAF is a combined
Oakey-Toowoomba MBZ, an area 7 miles
around Oakey and 5 miles around
Toowoomba, joined with a line on both sides. Just call
on Oakey MBZ or Toowoomba MBZ as per the aerodrome that you are entering.
When coming off tow, contact the tug with the call - [Tug Registration],
rope gone . For example, Sierra Whiskey Romeo ... rope gone.
On joining circuit, give an traffic call. For example, "Traffic McCaffreys, Romeo India joining downwind for runway one two,
McCaffrey Traffic."
