If you've ever dreamed of learning to fly, then gliding is the sport for you. Not only is gliding one of the more affordable forms of sports aviation, it is one of the most challenging. So come and learn to soar with the eagles at the Darling Downs Soaring Club.

We conduct a range of courses using sleek modern fibreglass two seat gliders and instruction is provided by fully trained Gliding of Federation of Australia instructors.  All courses include aerotow launches, glider hire and free instruction.

You can also learn to fly at your own pace - Join the Club and learn to fly each weekend.  Our qualified rostered instructors are available every weekend, weather permitting.  Contact Us for more info.

Students on the Solo Quest course receive a copy of the Gliding Federation of Australia reference materials which includes Basic Gliding Knowledge Handbook, Radio Procedures Handbook, Rules of the Air, and a Glider Pilot Log Book.

The Solo Quest course is designed to train students towards achieving solo flight by the end of the course. This will depend on several factors, for example, the weather, your personal aptitude and previous flying experience. For these reasons solo flight can not be guaranteed at the end of the course.
